Video: Who were the first people to ride motorcycles on the ALCAN?
I made this video about the first two people to ride motorcycles on the ALCAN before there was an Alaska Highway, Clyde "Slim" Williams and John T Logan.

Nice job.
Slim lived here in the Copper Basin for quite a few years before he took this little ADV boondocking trek. Kinda changed his life, though.

Not too many people know about him. I came across him and logan while I was doing some surfing on the net.....very interesting guy. He did it once before with sled dogs, then put wheels on the sled to finish up in Washington DC.

Nice! Thanks for posting that. I had never heard of anyone doing that and didnt think it was possible until they cut the highway in.

What route did they take? Is there a map that shows where they went?
What? No GPS track?

I am not really sure about the route. I think the UofF may have more information on the route. I just know of the general towns they visited. And they did get lost going to Chicken.....

Was poking around the internet about Slim and found out the UofF Museum also has his Winchester Model 03 .22 caliber rifle he carried on the trip. It was donated to the museum.....
