Be patient, I am about three weeks behind. I have been sick this last week, which hasn't sped things up any. I have been working on my bikes when I feel good enough to go out. I haven't looked at a centerstand in a week unless it was on one of our bikes.

Mike, not in a real hurry, just want to be on the list before you quit making them.

He are the best/finest accesories you will ever buy for your L. How do you mount your Giant Loop?

Here you go!

A little hard to see, yes, it is nicely hidden in plain sight.

On the other side......

Again up close and personal.....

I have found these to be a solid point to secure any number of things. Bungies, pull straps etc.

Sorry for the delay Mike. I am off to WAPRED I'll have a and a for you.

If you look closely, you can see that the L is in the back of my truck. I did a fit check for DRZ400 and for the XR400 both fit, no pictures. I will post those up next week.

Of course we I do. I couldn't get the centerstands in the picture if I did that.

I think this will work

Here is what I came up with.

I was thinking it might be a good idea to pick the seat bolt up also. I believe it would make the strut a lot stronger.

It is not a problem just slipping into place and making up the bolts. I believe that this design would allow the strut to be used with most if not all aftermarket pipes.

The left side works as designed. It appears that the left could be a mirror image of the right and would bolt on very easily. I would prefer this if I had a choice.

I did not slot the bolt hole for the mounting at the foot peg but it would be a good idea so that the strut where it crosses the frame can make contact there to remove flex from the strut.

I was also thinking that if a connection was attached at the seat bolt so that tension could be added there. You would be able to preload the strut so when it did start to flex under weight it would actually be returning to the resting position which would reduce metal fatigue. I am not an engineer so that might be a bunch of crap. I have an idea for a simple design if it is a good idea.

I welded the pieces together but Mike has better fabrication equipment and will be able to make the pieces without welding anything together if he chooses to.

Cheers,

Mike

Not acceptable

I just got done talking with jungleplant and I was informed that it was a beautiful design. He said it would be perfect after I completely redesign it to specifications I was unaware of. No worries, I have the technology. After being a steamfitter for 40 years. I have done so much for for long with so little I am now qualified to do anything with nothing.

Seriously, I think we are pretty close now that I have received some clarification.

Cheers,

Mike
