Not "beefed-up" but "touring" model.

Just got back from testing my nuda with arrow downpipes, remus exhaust and first nuda specific pc5 in the UK, OMFG I love it, smoother, faster, louder, so much attention I got today from fellow bikers, guys hanging out of cars wondering what the sound of thunder was behind, video is getting about 90% of the glorious sound, just phone video, doesn't get the ear splitting moto gp bark when I blip the throttle, roll on summer!

Brilliant!

I reckon these could become quite collectable when BMW sell the brand.

I was planning on getting a KTM 690R Duke to back up my Suzuki B-King, when I sell my Buell Ulysses but then I saw this Nuda. Wow, got all excited, only to read on and find out that KTM have bought Husqvana out and plan on burying the model.
Anyway, I live in Portugal and the nearest Husky dealer is 250 miles away, assuming they even have one. I wonder if they're reliable.

Dezzie, how are you getting on with the bike? Has it been totally reliable? Your answer could still convince me to get one.

Sold it now to a very happy guy, I lost my job and then bmw sold the bike on which made the uk drop the prices, there still selling whats left of stock at my local dealer, 5999 otr for the standard and 7300 for the ohlins version, there a great bike but after I bought mine I spent another grand on tuning etc and then sold it for 5750, losing almost 3k in 7 months, but have bought an msx125/grom to tide me over. Best bet is to get on 900nuda.com and read up on everything, everybody loves the bike I think bmw needs a kick in the balls for letting that one go!

Thanks, Dezzie. You must have been gutted to see it go? If I lived in UK I'd be on those prices pronto but I live in Portugal, although I'm English. If I manage to find one here, the nearest dealer is 250 miles away, the Portuguese mentality is never to discount. However I managed to get my B-King discounted, 900 euros off list. So a cheeky offer may prove fruitful. I'm not sure what to do. Maybe I'll keep my Buell Ulysses as that's the cheap option. Much more low-down torque too. I'll have to see. Thanks for getting back to me and good luck on the job front.

So, now that we've had to live with the merger and Husky no longer producing the Nuda/R, I'm wondering how those of you who own the bike feel about it over six months later. Are you still enamored with it, has it become something of a White Elephant, or is it somewhere in between?

We never got the bike here in the US, but its specs are unique in comparison to what motorcycles we do have here. I must admit that I'm still very curious about Husky's modifications to the BMW 800s.

I just recently found a youtube channel that features this bike (royaljordanian) and I was pretty enamored with it. Looks like a beefy super-moto and, holy crap, that exhaust sounds evil!

I like this thing a lot! Too bad it never came to the US. :(
