Geez, this is the 21st century and KTM hasn't got it yet! Weight of the pros vs cons I've read since lurking around here for some time is stacking up against the 690 as a replacement for me especially if you factor in the costs.

I am going to send my seat in and get a Renazco seat (my butt will thank me). Does anyone have a pic of one with the black seat and orange stitching? I want to go that way but would like to see one first.

So my 690 problem appears to be sorted after lots of dicking around. Looks like it was the starter relay the whole time, making it cut out and act funny. $53 part from the dealer

Runs like a champ now

And if it didn't handle like a water truck. Sorry, but I had 2 XRR's and they sucked balls compared to my 690.
