For the record, I'm not replacing the the 690 with the X just using it to haul a hack. The 690 is staying, better or worse. The fuel pump failure is just a theory, so dont pat me on the back just yet

Motobrant started that thread. You can't place additional links in his original thread, which kinda defeats the purpose. I asked Motobrant about updating his post, but he didn't respond. Thanks. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on the Vortex, but I'm out of town parts of three of the next four weeks so no hurry right now. Plus I'm _still_ waiting on the replacement fuel injector I ordered I don't know how long ago.

Here's the thing I don't quite understand, maybe someone has seen this, or maybe an answer lived in our dear departed threadfest. If I do the 15 minute idle, then go for a ride, the jerkiness is very nearly gone. But after a couple of hours of riding, it comes back. It's not a heat thing as the problem persists through all subsequent rides until I redo the 15 minute thing. It's like it learns how to behave, but it can't remember the particulars very long. Strange.

+1 on the new thread, but I do hope that the old one at least gets put back so that all the other posts referencing the useful info still make sense. Seems a shame to lose all that knowledge or have to start from scratch again

So it's time to change my rear tire...The stock MT21 was great and would buy that again but right now , it is unavailable and will only be available in October. I need a tire now.

What would you guys go for? Keep in mind I am mostly offroad but I do have to ride sometimes for hours to go to my trails. I was very impressed with the MT21 in rain so I want something in that line....
