I have these pegs on my 525 exc. They are extremely nice, even with sneakers if running out to the store provide awesome support.

Just ordered a pair of those for my 690. Might come in handy for the 6 day Baja ride I'm doing with Griptwister tours next April.

Checked the air filter. Found a long crack in the bottom of the airbox. Looks like it is a casting flaw. Doesn't let in dust yet. Anybody heard of this issue before?
Pull it out. Put Gorilla Tape on the outside, before it cracks through.

My buddy's box cracked badly for unexplained reasons. Mine has that weird seam on the inside but has not broken through.

how freaking dumb can you be?!?!

So I finally got TuneECU up and running tonight and checked my maps. The "awesome" local ktm dealer was suppose to update my map with the EVO1 maps about a month ago and its been having a weird idle issue but not a show stopper. So I pulled the maps off the computer today and low and behold I had the 4031 FI map (akra slip on map) and the 0215 EP map (standard exhaust map).

1st off thats freaking ridiculous that the dealer would do something like this and not follow the directions laid out for them by KTM.

2nd how did this actually work, I thought they had to be the same ones and did it do any damage???

The EFI map is the important one. It changes the amount of fuel and the ignition settings for the bike. The EPMap is only to change the feel of the throttle response (it only adjusts the relationship between the grip and the throttle body) So it won't hurt your bike. The Akro EFI map is richer than the EVO1 map so you should be fine from that perspective.

Also, the values in the Akro EP map and the stock EP Map are the same, so it won't change the bike any.

Sure - no problem!! I already posted this in the mega thread, but as that is gone here it is again.

That's just down the street from Zoro's house btw...

Seriously of course it can, but it's not near as comfortable...

Thanks, my dealer logged a warrenty claim today. If it doesn't work, I'll fix it.

Plug Spanner

Don't know if all the years are the same, tried my OEM plug spanner on my 2011 today. It is way too long to get it to work. I cut mine shorter and drilled some holes to make it work.

Maybe check yours before you need to remove some water from the cylinder trailside. If you only plan to ride on tarmac you can disregard...

They are just MSR brand foam hand deflectors, moose sells the same ones too.

Ah ok. That makes sense. I was just more pissed at my dealer for not doing the job right and charging me 1/2 hour labor to do it. The Code Orange write up is good.
Thanks!
