How much time do you guys think Joe Gibbs will actually spend with Bubba holding his hand and getting his head right. Joe is a busy man and his son runs the team. James has been in this game a long time. If he doesn't know his own head by now and how to ride for a championship, it's going to be a hard row. That being said, this is the best deal for Bubba & JGR. James doesn't have to spend his money and JGR gets the most recognized SX rider on the planet. $$$$ I hope James does get it right and has a good season. Villopoto and Dungey will give him a good run and the best racer will come out on top with the championship. |

Back with J-Bone, and somebody else gets to handle all the business BS. Big James made him do it for years, now here is a team of people who can make him want it. I don't think he's done yet.

I have no doubt JS7 can make a comeback and win more championships. Weather he will or not is up to James Stewart.

I saw him race in a closed course off-road truck race a few weeks ago. With minimal practice I think he finished 5th. He did pretty well. |

If he is one of those fortunate few who can feel the edge of traction in his butt, he will do well in a stock car. They have a huge advantage over the thinkers. The lad has no fear, that is for sure. He has that covered. That round goes to Marchand. Subban a little too anxious.

the December issue of Racer X is out. It has the 25 defining moments of the 2011 outdoor series and probably the crispest pic I've seen of Reeds big step off at Millville. you can see several people on the ridge overlooking the jump with mouths wide open like that painting The Scream. quite a sight and worth a look.
maybe the most epic US MX moment of all time? I can't wait till the 2012 SX season. it has the makings of being even better than 2011 with Stewart seemingly very happy with the new bike. the interview someone posted in the thread about him signing with JGR was pretty good. he just wasn't comfortable on the San Manuel bike which makes it really weird that he's still on a Yamaha. which must make yamaha pretty happy. anyway good luck in 2012 for the 450's if your name isn't Ryan, Chad, James, Trey, or Kevin. I've got to get me to one of these races. Haven't been to a SX since Montreal in 77. ![]() or maybe it was 76... |

Well said flug.
We are going to look back on this era longingly as one of the golden ages of mx and sx.

I think you guys are right, didn't think you could beat 2011, but 2012 looks great.
Reminds me of boxing in the early 80's, watching all the greatest fightrs on regular tv before it all went to pay per view. Hope that never happens to sx/mx.
