Day - 3

Cheaha to Sugar Valley Campground Fail

Another somewhat "closed" road along the route...

Nice trail through a pond area...

Very nice dirt & paved roads on this leg of the trip...

One of the closed bridges along the route...

This may be why the bridge is closed...

More nice dirt roads & overlooks headed towards Sugar Valley...

Well... some navigator FAIL again.

We were supposed to camp out at some primitive camp near Sugar Valley but... the ride leader got caught up with all the twisty roads and something was wrong when we were within about 1 mile from I-75.

No worries though, we headed towards the town (Dalton, GA) and waited for another FF (Jaydee1442) to arrive at the Shell we were at. He was slabbing it 500+ miles on a KLR to join in on the fun.

When he arrived, we headed across the street to this place...

Great food! Highly recommend you stop in if you're close by.

Since the campground was about 50 miles away (give or take) we decided to motel it again. At $30/night split between 2 peeps per room, I'll take it any day of the week. Nice hot shower, TV, & minimal repacking of the bike, that's a WIN in my book.

Day - 4... Dalton, GA to Al Tuna's pad in Acworth, GA.

Morning at the motel. Buzz ready to go...

The dirt riding along this leg was fantastic. A few single track trails, lots of 2-track, hill climbs, and a few water crossings!

Found a spare tar along the trail...

I though we found the FF but he took off before we had a chance to interview the d00d.

Lunch at a Mexican joint in Ellijay...

More dirt...

Found a big cock along the route...

And a nice water crossing...

Al Tuna (inmate) offered up his pad for us to crash along our route. Thanks Tuna!

Phone call to Al Tuna halfway through the day's route...

Me - Howzit going?

Tuna - Not too bad. When are you FFs planning on getting here?

Me - Sometime before sundown.

I believe it was around 8:30pm ish + when we rolled in.

Here's Mr. Tuna. Thanks bud.

Great food prepped by Mrs. Tuna. Absolutely mouth-watering!

Thanks for the hospitality Mr & Mrs Tuna. That was awesome! If you're ever down my way, you're more than welcome to stay at mi casa.

Thanks again for putting us up and the excellent grub!

I stopped by Miller Brothers BBQ in Resaca last week with WoodsRider, as soon as we got off the bikes guy by the door starts telling us about a group that came through last year.

Acworth, GA to Molena, GA

Not too many pics along this short leg.

A looooong train preventing our passage as it rained.

Trail break...

Arrival at Buzz's Uncle's "Plantation"

Group shot at the front gate...

Food & "Spirits" were great. Awesome place! Thanks for the hospitality Buzz & Chipper!

Day 6 - last day

Molena, GA to Tallahassee, FL

It was a little wet in the morning & we encountered a little bit of mud along the trails.

Buzz, taking it easy!

Sanjoh and the Dirt Ninja...

Jaydee...

Somewhere close to our final destination Buzz was commenting on how he couldn't wheelie his bike anymore. WTF. We found out it was because of his 5 tooth rear sprocket.

Well, that's all I have. It was a great trip with some cool FFs.

Looking forward to doing it again sometime.

Glad you posted up pics of day 5. That's right about when my camera let slip it's mortal coil.

I think my boots are still wet from day 5 and parts of my bike are still orange.

Buzz's uncle is a class act! Big thanks to him for his hospitality and for sharing the "spirits" with us.

I'm not sure I know what spirits y'all are talking about. I didn't see a ghost the whole time I was there

Good stuff Men! Was great to see Chipper and Holly. They are good peeps, and have always taken in strays like us

That 5 toof sprocket got me home, and that's ALL that mattered at that point. I now hangs on the wall in my office
