How the hell does that thing cost that much?!

An Akrapovič pipe shouldn't be more then half that money, and there's not
even a remote chance that GPR (or most other stuff) can be better.

That doesn't give him the right to lie to you. If you really want an answer go here and ask your question . http://powersports.honda.com/contact.aspx

Looks like I have to go back to the dealer again.
Suspect the dealer was using the old trick ( buy before their gone) it move you to buy now and not leave the dealer. If any thing is true come spring, NC could be harder find and less price negosition as all bikes sell better in spring than in the dead of winter in Wisconsin

I think it was lazy salesman syndrome. The honda website doesn't list the NC700X as an 2013 model.
He should have checked into it more, but then the wife was already pretty turned off by it.

The dealer has no information because there has been no confirmation either way...........but the press has rumored a larger version of the NC coming to NA.............confirmed information is three 500 models coming to the dealers in April.

True, and there could be several reasons. ONE of the reasons could be that it's been discontinued.

Another reason might be that there are enough in stock to keep selling for months and there will be a midyear update and early launch of the '14 model.

I can't imagine discontinuing a successful model, but updating one? Sure!

That's more like it!

I figured it might be a full system, race stuff, but still would be WAAAY
over the top at €2200.

I haven't seen one at a dealer since summer or I'd probably buy one.

I'm going to take the fact that they were displaying them at the international bike show in Long Beach as evidence that they intend to keep selling them.

It can be done but it may not be worth the trouble. Waiting to see.

Some forums seem to be indicating that the new NC700X is selling good. I hope to see 2013, 2014, and beyond models here in the USA.
