So Gags you are heading to Adelaide on Tuesday and back on Wednesday? You will need nappy rash creme for your butt! At least you will have nice weather for it.

What day is it?

Phew, back from the extended Cancer Ride and I'm stuffed!!

Left MONDAY morning and met others in Hamilton, alecmacca's bike was unable to be repaired so he limped home to Melbourne over 2 days. The rest of us enjoyed a bacon and egg at Woody's before heading off.

Going to Adelaide the back way is lots of fun but takes a bloody long time. Camped over night at 42 Mile Camp on the Coorong, arrived in Adelaide about 1620 Tuesday to meet with Cancer Council greeting party and did the formalities.........I don't think there is an ugly woman working there...... ........and back to Phil Phong's place for the night.

Phil is THE most gracious host; fridge full of beer, food available, the house is yours, I'm off to work for night shift!!!

Beer and pizza for dinner before turning in. The next day a quick jaunt up to a lookout before the long ride home. Slowpoak called it quits at Naracoorte so he could enjoy beer, motel (porn????) I blasted home along the black top.

It has been a hell of a 6 days and done over 1300ks, the back way to Melbourne, the back way back to Hamilton, the back way to Adelaide and return.........I'm done

Now to strip the bike, lube and service everything before packing it all up again to head off to the Flinders Ranges for the Classic................why do I do it to myself????

Because you can silly!!!

Any good photos?? Attractive SA women photos would be aceptable.

What tyre pressure do you guys run when on the tar? Being a dirt orientated rider BRR chewed up a HD inner tube on his ride last weekend. He probably was running 14 psi on the tar on his DR650.

Sounds like someone needs a quick trip to a masseuse and a chiropractor :P

How long is the thing at XR's on the 15th? I can get the day off work but I probably can't get there till about 1 or later.

The fella got an '07 525 yesterday. I rode on the back for a bit and then he let me have a go by myself (silly boy). He hadn't even had it an hour before it was on its side So I learned two important lessons 1. I can't corner for shit and 2. I can lift a ~125kg bike on a slope pretty easy.

Now the fella's back to work for a month and I have a giant temptation sitting in the front room facing the door. Just waiting for me to hospitalise myself.

I'm so excited

I like it!

Very apt warning Gags! Big bikes bite back!

The 15th April" GPS Nerd Show "is a lunch BBQ from 12 onwards until we are all geeked out, or the two slabs ( Melbourne Bitter: drink responsibly) are gone. BYO meat, I will have salads etc. ready.

I reckon we should make it a swap meet too. Bring along your excess gear and see if someone wants it.

For catering purposes it would help if people let me know if they are coming.

Address:
4aTanner Crt
Portland

Behind the BP car park. To get there travel into Portland on the main road ( Percy St) and turn right into Otway St. (sign to Bridgewater bay ) . 100 metres turn right into Tanner Crt. 4a is at the top of the court. Beware of the savage dogs.

Last time you called Gags " Dobie" wasn't home. He is OK if I am at home but he gets territorial if I am not.

Not sure about Gags, but i was running MT-21 up front @ 25psi and E-07 rear @ 29psi with no problems the whole trip, even on tar. The way home from Adelaide to Nararcoorte was hardcore @ speeds of 110-130kph because Gags had to get home to his wife. All good when we've got roads of smooth sandstone which are better than SW buck shot roads.

Fuck your GPS, at least my maps are right ! You missed out on a good ride home, slabbed it to dorgholme and the pub was open, then found some interseting tracks on the way home.
Came to a dead end with a gate to private property, farmer was on his way to the pub for a break and let me tour his property for several km's to get to the next gate so i could access the next lot of roads i needed to get home.
Nice bloke, wish i could have several more beers with him.
