Can't post a route sheet as i don't have a GPS, but the ride from Dergholme was 7km south to Tylers Rd. This gives access to the top end of the state forest but following the Rd i was stopped by private property.
After a quick chat, i was able to gain access which brought me out onto Steeles La. My fire map shows this as one Rd, but is more for fire access only when needed.
Hopefully when Gags gets his shit together, we'll all see the monster ride that was put together.

[QUOTE=XRman;18382986]Very apt warning Gags! Big bikes bite back!

The 15th April" GPS Nerd Show "is a lunch BBQ from 12 onwards until we are all geeked out, or the two slabs ( Melbourne Bitter: drink responsibly) are gone. BYO meat, I will have salads etc. ready.

I reckon we should make it a swap meet too. Bring along your excess gear and see if someone wants it.

For catering purposes it would help if people let me know if they are coming.

Address:
4aTanner Crt
Portland

Behind the BP car park. To get there travel into Portland on the main road ( Percy St) and turn right into Otway St. (sign to Bridgewater bay ) . 100 metres turn right into Tanner Crt. 4a is at the top of the court. Beware of the savage dogs.[/QUOT

its only Victorian beer

I have 2 slabs left over from the recent wedding of daughter #3. It is only Melbourne Bitter so I might as well give it away; does anyone but this stuff to drink themselves. I thought VB stood for Visitors Beers!!!

Nah it stands for Vomit Bomb, I have some rolling around in the back of the patrol, a 'gift' for dropping the boys at the pub.

No one I know wants to touch them.

Just to confirm, I'll be heading over on the 15th. Was there anything I should bring besides meat?

I think I have it covered. Beer, soft drink, wine ( all left over from wedding) salad, bread, tomato sauce, BBQ ( just cleaned it) seats, plates etc.

Bring some nice weather Amber.

The course goes from 8:15 till 11, and I took the afternoon shift off work (yay). I'm kinda dreading it now, my arse is still sore from a 10 minute ride on the KTM Wednesday, if I can't cope 10 minutes 3 hours is going to kill me

so riding around on a European enduro bike with a seat narrow enough to feel like a thong with too much starch is not really indicative of what a normal seat would feel like...........but I ride a DR so what the hell would I know!!

About wearing a thong with too much starch or a KTM "plank" seat imitation device????

BTW you are only supposed to sit down briefly while cornering your KTM. The rest of the time one is supposed to be in the standing " attack" position. But then again as you said Gags you ride a DR, so what would you know about performance motorcycles.

haha.....my reference was to an uncomfortable seat. The difference with a DR is that it won't get there quick, but it will get there, even carrying a fat bastard and his gear.........unchanged for 20 something years, because it doesn't need to be!!!!!

Is the route a planned secret or do we get a heads up & a shiff to a location ?
