Transalp national meeting , argentina and chile , 2up 6days 2000 kms with pictures

I don t know what hapened with my RR I was writing with this same trip, 3 days ago, so i begin again


HI ADVRIDERS
FIRST AT ALL, I WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGIZE THE MANY MISTAKES I WILL DO WRITING THIS RR, I M NOT AN ENGLISH SPOKEN.

2010 Oct 8,9 and 10 there will be the Transalp National meeting in Neuquen, Argentina.
We are 2 up Chilean on a Transalp 650.
october 5 we will begin this trip. We are going to ride around 2.000 kms that offer many diferents landscapes we want to share with you
such as Pacific ocean, central valley, Andes range, lakes, rivers, volcanos, Argentinean patagonia ...

Yesterday was the day for money exchange
we bought "pesos argentinos"
100 argentinean pesos = +- 25 dollars

and wue bought an insurance policy
no way to get in Argentina wothout this. Mine was 20 dollars per 5 days



and today was the day to setup luggage and check the bike

Day 1 "PACIFIC OCEAN"
Finally the day has arrived.
October 5 we left Viña del Mar in a warm and sunny day.
We decided ro rode toward the south using the road alongside Pacific ocean. This way we were
able to visit some village next to the sea ( San Antonio, La Boca, Pichilemu )
The coastal roads was built through and along the coastal tange. Therefore it is up and down and very twisty .

AT THE END OF THE DAY , WE WERE DELAY , SO WE TOOK AN UNPAVED ROAD TO HURRY OUR ARRIVAL


WE ARRIVED AT 8.00 PM , OUR FRIENDS WERE WAITING FOR US, WE DINNER WITH THEM ,IT WAS AN EXCELENT END OF THE DAY

I am looking to rent a TransAlp in Buenos Aires and then ride to Bariloche. But with the recent eruption of the volcano nearby, those plans may have to change. Let us know how the volcano has affected the area of Neuquen.

Day 2 " panamericana highway"

oct 6
we left san rafael and took inmediately the panamericana toward south.
The morning was cloudy and by 11 .00 we took some shower for half hour.
We stoped for cofee and gas , and good weather cameback.
Somes pictures at laja fall
when we arrived to "victoria" we took off the highway and turned toward
andes range.
Finally we arrived to lonquimay.

Day 3 andes range and patagonia

this day we opened the curtains and we saw a shiny day waiting for our ride.
We crossed the border and rode toward neuquen.
We had some troubles to refuel , there was a strike.
By 4 pm we arrived to neuquen where was the transalp national meeting.

strange, i access the RR as not logged and i could see all the pictures, have no problems.

Day 4 and 5
we spent 2 days in Neuquen at the Transalp National meeting. Around 60 motorbikes coming from places like Esquel, Cordova, Mendoza, Buenos Aires. Mainly Transalp 600, 650, 700, but also Varaderos , vstrom , africa twin somes bmw and others ones.
we rode all together around neuquen , met for lunch, took pictures and had fun...

Day 6

it was the day for leave Neuquen. We moved toward south to bariloche riding the patagonia. Strong winds and ashes from Volcano Puyehue delayed us. the border where we wanted to leave argentina was close for 24 hr.
We found landscapes covered by ashes . and we arrived by 6 pm to Bariloche
