He's got his balls caught in the slide-forward-seat! That's what his face is telling me

Unfortunately I didn't get in a very long ride today. I had to go back to work shortly after picking it up and then do some crap around the house . I will definitely be putting on the miles tomorrow and Sunday (sorry Mom).

One initial impression... it is a BIG bike. Coming from a tiny little Bonneville this thing is a beast.

Has anyone Had a passenger form an opinion about comfort yet. I'm seriously considering the Explorer this year. I've ridden it and loved it, but the wife has not been with me. We ride a ST1300 now that she loves. She's not a big girl and doesn't need a lot of room.

Dig around Tiger-Explorer.com Several comments over there that it is very comfortable for a passenger.

Kinda like going from a tweed jacket with elbow patches, to a full on Mad Max escalation,
in a good way mind you...

My other half says the back seat is very comfortable , and sits a bit lower than our old GS , so easier to get her leg over

OK, time to stop patting each other on the back and let's start getting into the meat of this bike!

FIRST: Does anyone make an extended shift lever for it??

Does anyone own a KTM as well and of so are the shifter shafts the same size??

Second: How hard is it going to be to lift the front fender about 2 inches? With TKC 80's mounted mud's gonna pack in there quickly.

Yep, that's a good question GD. I have some Heidenau K60's ready to mount but I'm not sure the front fender has enough clearance. Haven't taken the time to unbolt the fender to see if something as simple as short aluminum straps could be used to raise it?

Touratech do a kit for the Tigger 800 that raises the mudguard 15mm. That one may fit but if not, I'm sure they'll be out with a Tigger 1200 version soon.
