I was thinking if someone could just strip the leather and use the plastic base to mold a container on top of it do it locks and has filler cap with vent...

Thumb XC Edition for 2013

Probably old news by now, but I thought I'd post it anyway.

Apparently it only comes in that greenish color - too bad.

well, having followed and took part in this for a while now.... we've just come back from 1500 miles around France and I've come to the conclusion that the riding position is just not helping my coccyx.....

Comfort seat and airhawk, still no good.. so not being a bloke to hang around, I've sold the bike and hopefully picking up at GTR1400 Saturday

Wow....that was fast. But one must take care of one's coccyx....

So, how do you plan to set up your 1400 for off-road duty?

Off road will be a no-no

The trophy will cost me an extra 4k or there abouts... I didn't want to spend any more money....

The 09 GTR I'm taking a look at is going at 6k

Really, I would like to see someone max a spare tank in place of rear seat - I never have a pillion and would like to have at least another gallon with me...

But why the tiny picture?

No news about a larger fuel capacity though...

Triumph really fugged up by not offering a larger tank. That crap about it ruining the handling is just that, crap. If Guzzi can offer a 8.5gal tank and have it's weight held fairly low and not end up with an ill handling cow compared to the regular Stelivio then Triumph could also,,,,,,, if they decided to set their engineers loose. The regular Explorer should have come with a 250 mile range min IMO and it shoulda been a given on the XC model.

Geeze, an extra 6-10lbs gonna fug up the handling and there is no way to engineer the tank to hold that extra gallon or so a bit lower. BS.
