O.K.. Somebody find me a rear to buy here in the states. I'm game for another Texas test, that is, I'm ready if you (BigDave) and your tire machine are ready.

Well, that depends. I can estimate the mileage riding exclusively on 1-3" sand at a couple thousand miles at least. Riding the Big Ugly with my mad sand skillz , on sand 6"-8" deep or deeper , I'd estimate about 100 yards. Or the first corner, uphill or downhill. Whichever comes first.

The sizing shows up on the Pirelli International site but I can't find any info re North American supply. Looking at the OP's pics I would guess Pirelli are experimenting. As noted the design will be nothing like that of the 18/21 setup used on minibikes while it may share the name for Marketing purposes.

They may not even make it over the pond.

As SOG found with the Big Blocks, they may be made of butter. I give the front a decent chance to live but Texas will eat that rear tire in 300miles.

Don't hold your breath for the dream tire
drcool

edit, you beat me to it and I'm shocked it's available. Good luck and happy shredding

I had them put me on their email update list.

Here's a direct link to the rear tire. Cheap enough to try......but I'm kinda gunshy. I killed an OEM Dunlop on my new-to-me XR1200 Sportster in less than 1000 miles last month. Jeez. That smarts in the walletbone.

Yeah, I saw these were available from MS. I was hoping SOG would do a road test for us. I'm still trying to eat through these miserable heidis. Damn things are made of ceramic...

I'm pretty sure I'd end up horizontal no matter what tires I had.

I did the same, and got that e-mail the other day right after I bought a pair of Kenda Big Blocks (only $200) to experiment with. Haven't tried the BBs yet, and I figure the Scorpions will be next up (unless SOG warns us all away after he thrashes a pair ).
