Had this set up on the recent gulf trip but the other slacko's had zilch, but used it on the highway home trip Cairns to Gladstone.Have used it plenty of times on other trips, would love a fancy 5watt UHF as this one is only a 1watt( 10 years old too). The throat mike is a ebay special for $35 and the ear piece fits over the ear with the inside the helmet pushing against it makes a good seal blocking out wind noise. The 1 watter is good for about 5km range. I rubber band the PTT to the handgrip.

Bowen River Hotel

Who's had a cold beer there?? looks very interesting, plenty of history, i always thought it was in collinsville , big mistake , it's out in the diglys on it's own, might be worth a trip!! combine a pub crawl to the Coolan pub & a run up to the dam!!

The Bowen river pub

Last time I was there , The swedish barmaid had an ample boosom ,. I'm getting the shakes just thinking about her.

The steak sandwich and the beer was pretty good as well.

It doesn't look anything like what i saw in 1981, someone's spent some coin on it. As far as riding there goes, i plotted a course from Bowen to Eungella and another from Eungella to Bogie and on to the Burdekin dam via Bowen river, so when are we?
