Wifey had some cartlige removed from her knee on Wednesday so being the caring type that I am I'm on Carers leave; Even better than sick leave!!
On a more sensible note are the creek/river crossings on the main track to Bramwell constructed fords or earth/rock base? Anyone??

I'll probably be ready for a little rest by the time I get that far so easy will be good! Not sure the OTT is the place for a solo 950 with me on it! Plan to do a day run to the tip at sometime over the weekend

should have most of what is listed above on board,
plus towropes & a hammer & punch for changing wheel bearings multimeter & a wiring schematic, cable & fuses crimp links bolt assortments , first aid kit, bottle of rum, etc |

I carried a Sat phone on our first cape trip in 2007 and found they were useless anywhere there were trees around, was told they work great in open/desert terrain, spent ages walking around the camp ground at Archer River trying to find a spot to get it to link to the saterlite. With the amount of travelers up north these days I would not carry one, the extra weight is not needed.
