Thanks for the heads up... I'll look into those.

Where can these be purchased?

They don't even have pictures of their product...

Tucker Rocky is one of the USA distributors, your dealer probably can get you one.

They also do good quality fender extenders and huggers, if you want the whole set

Thanks... It looks great in the sunlight. I almost got the black version, but I just couldn't bring myself to get a Ninja that wasn't green, lol.

If I ever buy a Kawasaki it is going to have to be green.

Been looking at these extensively. I just cannot make up my mind what I want. I think I am going to pass on a Versys and get the Ninja 650 instead. Also considering an FZ6R, but it seems to me that the Ninja 650 has more aftermarket farkles available. That and I just don't like my local Yammy dealer.

If the 2012 ER6N had been available, I'd have gotten that... oil changes are a overly annoying on this thing.

I'm still glad I got this over the FZ6R... I keep eyeing the Versys though.

I love the ER6N. I passed on a 2009 plamsa blue one earlier this week because the dealer wouldn't accept a common sense offer for it. I decided I would just wait instead of overpaying for a used bike.

I keep eyeing the Versys too. In fact it's like I keep coming back around to it. The only problem I have is that I am pretty short and even with a lowering kit I think it would still be uncomfortable for me.

Just curious, why did you pick the Ninja 650 over the FZ6R? Since I am considering both I would really like to hear why you picked one over the other.

The torque curve... I like the grunt to be down low in the RPMs.

This is my first bike, my dream was a Speed Triple. But, I didn't want to start out on THAT, lol.

also,

The FZ6R styling just leaves me cold for some reason, I think it's kinda ugly.

That's why I bought the 650 too, because all the inline 4 600s feel like they're
400cc tops after the 650R, and the Versys has even more grunt down low.

That said, everything else is better on the Yamaha, IMHO, and I've put 25k
miles on my 650R. Will probably never buy a parallel twin again.

haha... me neither.

It's a fantastic engine, it does nothing wrong... It's a great everyday engine, I just crave more insanity.

I had issues with insane vibrations from around 10k miles and onward, got
worse by the day, and the bike was religiously maintained, and was like new
when sold 4,5 years old.

Other then that, Kawasaki's build quality (the plastics and finishing touches)
were horrible - could never get rid of the buzz, after meters and meters of
self adhesive foam strips.

From 2007 to 2010 I tried the FZ6S (not R), Dorsoduro, KTM's 690 DukeIII,
Honda Hornet (CB600F), CBF600 etc.. and sad to say, they're all better
(a bit more expensive too) bikes, especially in the brakes and suspension
department, and I even found the 690 single smoother then my 650R.

If I were buying a bike in the same category now, I'd go for the Honda CBF600
or Bandit 650 if I wanted a smooth/relaxed ride. And that's what I wanted.
