this bike is clearly targeted at the Ducati MS12... at a fraction of the cost.

I bet it will be here in 2 years. It better have real adjustable forks with that lump between its wheels. For some reason this beast appeals to me more than the Super 10.

Ya better be careful around here liking a bike without a spoked 19" front wheel.

Kawasaki Motors Australia spokesman Rudi Baker says they hope to launch the bike here next month [December 2011], but does not have pricing yet.

However, Kawasaki is one of the market leaders on price, so it is bound to undercut the others. As a guide, the Z1000 costs $16,490 and the Versys 650 is $10,990.

If I were in the market for a bike with chain, this Versys would be it. With some of the savings, for sure a new exhaust, Acra, Arrow, etc, would be installed ASAP.

After my experience with my C14, once you go shaft you won't go back...

It's strange that the catalytic converter (I presume) looks so much like the muffler itself on the 650...

+1. Oilers are the ducks guts.

Unless you are someone who gets all tissy when your pretty back wheel gets a bit of stuff on it.

Didums.
