You gonna lead a ride up to North Troy/Newport to view the Model T?

Ride on Google Maps:

Newport Scenery is worth a peek.

I am a much better follower than leader

If that thing is still around by CroMag I will be taking 5 gallons of gas and a kitchen match with us. :zot

There's usually an antique power show that time of year too, if you're into that I think MsLizVT takes a group that way.

Newport Scenery is definitely worth a peek. That pic of the Model T was taken right near the north end of the Puppy Dog Route, in North Troy - from there heading east thru Newport, and as far East as Island Pond, there are thousands of ways to get back to Silver Lake on whatever kind of road (or not) you feel like riding on. On the other hand you can spend a whole day within 50 miles of the park and still not be missing out on anything.

Sorry I didn't really get a chance to meet you at BYOB, was my first time with that crew and ther's no way to meet everybody... but VT is a lot like the Marlinton area (about the same cell coverage, too)... look forward to seeing you.

Pheh, you go to the top of the hill on North Road, (towards Bethel for some of you) stand on one foot next to the large maple on the southwest side of the road with your left hand extended skyward, you can make all the cell calls you want.

Which section of the park is reserved for the Cromag?

Word of advice, the section from 33A up toward what is marked Spruce is really swampy, buggy, small sites, commando chipmunks, bear, Sasquatch, etc.
You definitely don't want to set up there.

just always trying to be helpful.

Better off in one of the 27 new lean-tos they built this spring in that large open area you see on the map.

That's where the prime lean-to sites are according to the legend.

Ahh, come on George. Our Somerset County PA syrup is the pinnacle. They know this in Vermont, and just don't like talking about it.
