That is too bad about the BGS. I had heard tremors of this rumor from Chelsea. I will not repeat what I heard as it serves no purpose. But since I was a wee lad the store has had its ups and downs and has never stayed down long. It is a mainstay of the community. By the time we get there it will be back up and running I would imagine.

Greg, if you are looking for some ideas on a community cooperative... The store in South Acworth, NH (on NH 123A), a beautiful ride from Barnard to there, operates like this. I am certain they would be more than happy to share their story with you folks if that is the avenue that seems best.

Thanks for the offer of shop space. Sad you are going to be off this year. Don't get lanced or tar balled. Will there be KLR jousting?

Jousting!

...actually the KLR will be behind as well.

Key in it.

Gased up.

Luckilly there is Bethel, closer than Woodstock for beer.

Bridges have been temporarily replaced, roads rebuilt, and you really should learn the back way to Woodstock, since only unregistered Volvos take the dirt roads.

...oh, and uh, one more thing...

...I don't actually have to head down until Friday...so I might serve as a warning to others Thursday night.

That is a bummer about the general store. I hope it finds new owners and that they like motorcycle people.

Maybe I'll convert it to alcohol so it burns cleaner...

It actually served me pretty well all winter as a commuter...didn't get stuck in the driveway, unlike the Subaru...pity about the rider, though.

Must have been broken down, cause it was not stuck in the snow!

Wet, heavy snow up to the bumper...KLR was 'only' up to the footpegs!
