Dream on! If there is one thing to be learned... It's called PATIENCE.

I'm happy to get the ticker back in the chest!

I knew there was a reason

that I kept after this thread

I had to pull up page 2 foto's today to remember where the 2 black pull switches were located...

And now that I see it again, it don't look right either...
I'd want to switch the left knob with the headlight indicator.

I needed a visual fix

I set the tank and seat for a little instagratis...

I'm getting dangerously close to putting some oil in it and turning it over...

Turns out the ignition does have the starter feature, (momentary).
Turns out that doesn't matter if it has the starter button.

My helper keeps running off to parts unknown. I've had to tough it out alone.
But I sure could use your help now. I need to push the bike from the shop to the shed... I understand you've got lot's of experience pushing non running motos

F08 calipers

A year ago I rebuilt the caliper. Brembo kit, all new parts, everything looked good.
Today was the big day to actually charge/bleed the system.
It took some pumping but the fresh fluid finally reached the caliper.
Imagine my surprise/ disappointment to discover the new 6mm bleeder screws do NOT seat far enough to seal the system!

It appears neither screw works right.

How is this possible ? Has anyone had this occur and how was the problem solved?

I actually found the old bleeder and cannot see any obvious difference. (Other than the old one is a rusty blob!)

That problem was solved

By going to NAPA and buying generic 6mm x 1.0 bleeders. They're longer. Clean it up. Rebleed and the bleeders were fine and I've got pressure!
Come out the next morning and there's a puddle of brake fluid under the caliper.
So I take the caliper off and dismantle THAT... maybe the oring got pinched??
Nothing. Nada. Zip.
Everything looks good. Reassemble and install. Rebleed.
Walk away for fifteen minutes and ... drip
A new caliper is on it's way...

Funny you should ask. You must be a mind reader.
I actually exposed the bike to sunlight and went for a short bimble around the block...

The motor sounds OK, the tranny seems to shift awright, but I've somehow fucked up the clutch package... it won't completely disengage...

All new parts. Pulling the clutch lever slows the motor, crunching it into first just about stalls it...but not quite.
She seems to run well but she's not the shiniest tack in the box.....
I'm thinkin' of calling this bike "Frenchie". After the character in Grease.
Beauty School Dropout!

Good to see it on the road after so long. Maybe they like their intermediate plates unfixed

She needs a good ride

Too many new parts. Just a toodle around the block and things started settling in. Shocks, brakes, valves and the clutch started acting a bit better...
