If people have time to go there, Elk Point would be nice!! The weather looks great so far... Around 27 degrees!! But a nice long ride would be nice!! Subject to change, of course... The more, the merrier!!

So, fellow NorthEast Albertans, we are going for a ride, probably a mix of black top and gravel roads, on Saturday the 18th. We will be leaving at around Noon from the McDonald's (next to the Brick).

Marty, Thanks for suggesting going for the ride today. What a great day to be out enjoying the roads and seeing the sites. I think I saw at least 3 cemeteries, I lost track of the number of lakes we drove by and saw some new roads I want to check out later. Kms for the day for me was close to 360.

Really, the pleasure was all mine!! Too bad we were the only 2 that took advantage of that fabulous day!! I appreciated that you showed me around. I had been down those spots before, but only on paved roads. I much rather do them gravel roads though!!

Thanks again! And we will have to go discover some other back roads soon!!

Oh, we weren't going that fast, I was following Grumpy Bear!!

Humour aside, it was nice meeting you this morning, and fantastic to meet people that share the same passion!! Kindda boring going for rides to Lloydminster with crotch rocket fans and shiny chromy thingies guys!!

Mrs Outbacktaz really wanted to tag along today, but work held her back... She swore that she would make the next meeting, and is looking forward to meet you!!

Now, I have to go clean my Austrian Dirt Hog, she's full of dust!!

I'm working for the Race the Base event this weekend. Forecast is rain for the weekend so far, and I hope it stays that way...

Yup, lots of roads in the area. One of them runs along the river for a few miles. I thought of taking it this trip but looked like lots of truck traffic ( gravel haulers) so I decided to go the alternate route. There are a few small communities in the area to check out as well.

Who's up for a ride during the week, head out at around 5:30- 6pm and do some riding. Get home before dark? We could check out the Goodridge area. I was talking to an interested rider tonight but he is busy till tuesday night, after 6 pm.
