Well, they are rid of Paul Bird Motorsports, so that is a step in the right direction.

OK I'll go out on a limb and say the top five finishers of race 1 and 2 (in no particular order) will be;

Biaggi
Checa
Hopkins
Melandri
Sykes

I also think Max will win at least one race.

This could be the season for Haslam. He was awesome until late, and even then not as bad as usual. Take care of those tires. He dug deep as usual. Looking for a break through. It would be epic on a lot of fronts. Same could be said for Tom Sykes. I will never forgive Yamaha for dumping him.

Any more news? Last I read there some speculation about his injuries. I loved watching him ride in WSS and was really looking forward to his sophomore season on the ZX-10 with the gains the team have been making.

Just watched both races. Great racing.

Poor Sykes...he has the speed and pace...just needs to figure something out to keep the tires lasting the race distance. He does an awesome job regardless.

Really great racing. Gonna try and watch as many as possible this year but it's tough with no internet feed ie: motogp. SPEED plays it Sundays and Im out training a lot on weekends.

Surprised to see Biaggi lose after Phillip Island's performance

The condition of Joan Lascorz sounds extremely grave. Hopefully the rumors are wrong.

A pretty good performance actually...and a "1,000 cc class" win!

The rider was immediately given medical assistance and transported to the circuit Medical Centre where, after first aid operations had been performed, a probable fracture of the vertebra was diagnosed. Dr. Giancarlo Caroli, the Imola circuit medical officer, therefore decided to air-lift the rider immediately to the Maggiore Hospital in Bologna by helicopter. Joan Lascorz will be recovered in the spinal injury unit of the Bologna hospital.
Today they reported he is undergoing surgery:

The team expects to release more information about Joan Lascorz's condition later today.

GP One reports that Kawasaki wants David Salom to replace the injured Joan Lascorz. Team Pedercini doesn't want to give up Salom. Salom says he will stay loyal to Pedercini (of course money talks).

If I were Tommy Hayden's manager I would be all over Team Kawasaki. TH may not want to go, though, with a small family at home. Logistics, logistic. Tommy seems like he would be a perfect fit though.
