Thanks for that LucasM, great to hear ride reports from individuals who have ridden the freeride.
I just got an email from the local dealer saying "it'll be here in two weeks", he said that a week ago. |

Was looking at a magazine yesterday at the grocery store and it said the U.S. would get the Freeride for 2013.

They probably trump the average dealers knowledge data base... depending of course!
I'd feel more confident for you guys if you started seeing them advertised for sale in your magazines... KTM wouldn't spend the money for that if they weren't bringing them over. I was at the KL KTM dealer last night and he said they just got one and already sold it! Communication isn't so hot here... I'll head up to the bigger dealer in Penang and see what they got! |

There's several clues it's comming to the Sates next year, little point in debating the point for the next 10 months.
I want to see post from rider that have a Free Ride. Lets hear how it is. Is the FI map good as sold? OK on the street to get to trails? I need some details before I drop $10k. (10 times what my trials bike cost).

Yea, just fluff from what I have read, very little details on living with the bike/engine. Real world maintenance issues, must do fixes? There is zero info on the Free Ride compared to the 350EXC/F. Guess the Free Ride is a "beginners" bikes so the owners just ride and not wrench?

That would be GREAT and a major goal in buying a Free Ride. As I am sick of working on my 450exc. Honestly, I work on it as much as I ride it. Not that the RFS engine is bad, it just requires a lot of work to keep it happy.
