Was looking at a magazine yesterday at the grocery store and it said the U.S. would get the Freeride for 2013.

They probably trump the average dealers knowledge data base... depending of course!

I'd feel more confident for you guys if you started seeing them advertised for sale in your magazines... KTM wouldn't spend the money for that if they weren't bringing them over.

I was at the KL KTM dealer last night and he said they just got one and already sold it! Communication isn't so hot here... I'll head up to the bigger dealer in Penang and see what they got!

There's several clues it's comming to the Sates next year, little point in debating the point for the next 10 months.

I want to see post from rider that have a Free Ride. Lets hear how it is.

Is the FI map good as sold? OK on the street to get to trails?

I need some details before I drop $10k. (10 times what my trials bike cost).

There are multiple threads on KTMtalk.com from FR350 owners and others who have ridden the FR350, including YouTube and vimeo links.

I just added all the thread links here:

Yea, just fluff from what I have read, very little details on living with the bike/engine. Real world maintenance issues, must do fixes?

There is zero info on the Free Ride compared to the 350EXC/F.

Guess the Free Ride is a "beginners" bikes so the owners just ride and not wrench?

This is probably gonna be hard for many KTM riders to accept, but from I've read, there are really very few issues with the bike and maintenance is more like a real motorcycle.

This is KTM's official bulletin on the FR350, and it is a whole 'nother ballgame.

Yours sincerely,
Fluffy

That would be GREAT and a major goal in buying a Free Ride. As I am sick of working on my 450exc. Honestly, I work on it as much as I ride it. Not that the RFS engine is bad, it just requires a lot of work to keep it happy.

Finally!

A KTM for the rider who is not ready to race. I was looking at a Beta 350 but they are pricey and carbureted. For years, I've been wishing for a street legal KTM with a milder state of tune that would hopefully result in enhanced durability and reliability. Less vibration would also be nice. You know, a bike that is more duffer friendly.

It now appears that KTM has answered the call and for the first time, I'm looking at the brand. I'll be watching these pages closely.
