Paranoia? I guess now would be bad time to tell you I've been stealing bolts from your pannier racks?

I stopped there for gas on the return ride from my TAT trip last year. It's a nice little area and a great looking building. I did not partake of the restaurant, but I can tell you they have the finest gourmet candy bars and Gatorade.

Mayhaps I'll make my way up there some afternoon soon to try it out for you.

Preps continue

Well I had to take my boots in and get them fixed, they weren't really waterproof anymore with a hole worn in the bottom from the pegs. They turned them around in less than two weeks and they look pretty good and saved a few more bucks for the trip.

The rear tires came in Friday as well. We were going to use the Mitas E-09 but it seems they are out of stock so we moved to the E-10 which it claims to be a bit more street.....still a knobbie. We are going to ship them to Albuquerque and get them installed there, appointments already made. It's most likely overkill but I am completely OK with that since I haven't really ever wished for less tire but I have wished for more in several situations. Here is a look at them.

New tread all around.

Bummer that we won't know how those E-10s perform till we're out there. They look great.

Pikes Peak anyone?

So are you guys interested in doing Pikes Peak I am? It appears to be about 57 miles from our track so 114 miles total. Looks like we will just miss the big race.

With the race just a couple days later the road should be nice. It's just another thing to check off my list.
