Just a few stupid questions. Oil tank, battery setup and swingarm. Can you explain your modifications?
Your bike is beautiful.

Hey Jim, you passed by us today at Bloody Basin. 3 Super Enduros and a Transalp. Bike looks killer.

Interesting bike!

What fork are you doing, and how did you mount it up?

What other frame mods did you do?

Where'd you get that swingarm?

The frame started life as a C and J flat track frame but has been heavily modified and re-modified over the years. If I were to do it again..I would just use the stock sportster frame or start from scratch.

The oil is in the frame backbone tube and the battery is under the seat. Yz400 forks on the front....ktm shock on the rear. The swingarm came with the frame and looked a bit spindly so we beefed it up and changed the original shock location. The swingarm pivot was also changed (lowered) to solve some chain tension and shock ratio issues. That also had benifit of lowerer the bike some.

Yes...I have spent way to much on this thing but...I have had it for 17 years and it will never be sold in my lifetime so I figure why not.

Hey Jim!

Good to see this is still going.

That's what the Uly should have been.

I really think the Sporty motor has the potential to be a great adv-bike power plant.

If you ever want to bring it out Havasu way I know of about 20 people similar to me that'd pay for a ride on that thing.

I'll have to point them to the new thread.

Cheers
Brett

And there's nothing else out there like it. It is a cool machine.
