If so that would be a HUGE help and I would make it worth your while Please PM me if you are able to help.

Sorry for the hijack John...bike is looking great by the way

Dusty, up until a week ago, we had a guy coming from Boulder, but he had to pull out last week....so nobody coming from up north....sorry.

I would offer to meet you halfway, but I have to help my newly married daughter, move in the morning.

Hantavirus

I have been hesitant to post this-----but this is serious stuff.

When you all leave Gateway and make the climb to the top of the mesa.
My advice is to not go in the cabin up there--------it absolutely reeks of rodent turds.
The smell will knock you down almost-----if you get Hantavirus from breathing that stuff there's a really good
chance you'll die.

We were in there too long a few weeks ago and I was ignorant of the danger.

The cabin looks like this.

Lot's of nasty turds.

Consider yourself lucky to make the brutal climb up to the cabin---if the climb don't get you the Hantavirus might.

I left my mark.

If your bike weighs more than 400lbs. You might not make it.

They were suppose to go over Hayden Pass so I'm guessing rd was closed but I'm not sure as I have never done that route before.

Having done Hayden Pass I can tell you that the west side is torn the heck up and just non stop baby heads and larger rocks going down. I made it down but with luggage I can see some riders going around. Its pretty much one of this hills where you hit the brakes and the rocks roll under the wheels kinda like "ballbearings".

They went over Hayden. Mac said one bike had mechanical problems (front brake) and he went back East of Hayden with him. We'll likely hear about this story when they get the chance.

Looks like they're in Lake City now according to Mac's SPOT!

Going down that hill with luggage is an achievement
in itself!
