2012 RMAR Silverton Noob
This sounds like a blast. I am a noob to the forum and still bonding with my 990 so nervous about skill level but sounds like there are some mellow rides but more importantly some funny ass personalities that are 'in.' I am checking out tent sites tomorrow and will give a holler with my IN. Any other families going or should I start plotting excuses?
Cant wait! |

I'll have my family, 21 year old son and 17 year old daughter....plus me and the Mrs. in our pop-up camper. A good buddy is bringing his RV and his family......two daughters, one about 15ish, and one about 10ish.
Any more families? |

Yeah, its the Easy Big Bike Ride ![]() Up to a 990 Adventure if your a great rider. Be a lot of us on XR650R's with huge 6.3 gallon tankers. Note from my loop, once you start, you might as well continue on, going back might be harder....so at a certain point your committed.

RE: Dutch Creek "Easy" Trail
Well, I've read all the local's advice about bringing along tubes, tires, levers, JBWeld, etc., and after watching the video, I'm thinking of maybe picking up an extra set of side cases, spare chain, new rims, and an extra heavy-duty bash plate.... ....but I'm gonna have to draw the line at bringing my Stihl along. I'm certain you boys will have all those blow-downs and slide areas cleaned up for us newbs by the time August rolls around. You know we'd do the same for you if you came east.

Big_John -
I was being sarcastic...Mine is the HuffNPuff and the WDKR for those newbies.Good news all, Funtreks (Charles A Well's & Matt Peterson you might know them from their 4x4 & ATV books) are sponsoring us for some Door Prizes. I just got back from picking them up.Also how would you all like to see a Zero Motorcycle "Zero X" in action??? Talked on the phone this morning with them and they are looking to maybe come out and spend time with us, maybe lead a ride even to show us the wave of the future. Don't know what Zero is, this is one of their bikes.... ![]() They also have a Dual Sport model: http://www.zeromotorcycles.com/dirt/

it sounds like you're riding it North to South? Should be a great Huff-N-Puff ride for sure. Too bad there aren't any hot springs in Silverton.
