BENCHMARK maps/atlas of CO is so much better than even the new Delorme. With the D you cannot tell a dirt from a side paved road in most places. I looked around here and all these back roads look the same on the DL map. Not so with the Benchmark map. red lines go to heavy dotted red lines to fainter and not so frequent dotted red line which equals paved to smooth dirt to tougher dirt. Seems the toughest is a skinny red line - or local streets not used much. You have to get the hang of these maps over the DL but much better. That is all.

Old DL maps were much better.

I'm using a headhunting agency to find my next job. The list of companies I'm eligible for interview are either in TX or the East. The locations in the East are relatively promising; all located in the heart of some good 'ol motorcycling.

There is a narrow window for me to stay in CO but I won't hold my breath. If I left, I would be content. I've seen a lot of CO in the past few years. I know there's more to see if I only had a dirt bike.

It is with regret that I post........I'm out.

The pictures of these beautiful places and the lure of The Big Bike Easy Ride are great...
but alas, my goals and life and reality require that I spend this 3 weeks of riding time doing something more moto-productive.

Come see us in Oregon sometime, and sometime,.....I'll make it to CO with more time to play than just three weeks.

I'm sure the answer to this question is embedded somewhere in this thread, but after several pages of looking, I haven't found it. I also didn't see it in the Red Mountain website. What's a tent site going for per night? I camp out of a van with a small motorcycle trailer to tow the plated KLX300, but I don't want to buy a full RV site...don't need any hookups and such...just a space to park. I go to Silverton for a few days every August, so this should be a great location. Is Red Mountain the RV location that's right on the west side of town when you first enter off the main highway?...just across the street from the little grocery store?

For some reason I thought the scout trip was this weekend. Oh well. I should be available for the scout trip on Fazchia's day weekend.

The IN List is no longer needed. The registration site will go live the end of this week.

The PAID LIST will go up in a couple of weeks.

That looks very familiar to me Pat. I think I rode it 3 times, and walked it at least that many. That was one very interesting first day of Colorado single track ! We ALL made it though.

Cant wait for this years challenges .
