Expedition Overland Episode 1 Premier!!! Video Ride Report

So we just came out with a new show about Overlanding. It features a BMW F800gs,100 series Toyota Land Cruiser, and a 2001 Toyota Tacoma.

It is a reality / documentary show focusing on the Journey, not the destination. We are featuring restaurants, attractions, cool places, and cool stuff to do.
Basically it’s a video ride report with awesome cinematography, great humor, and incredible places.
We have shot 2 episodes and have one cut and up one our website.

You can check it out here at:

http://www.xoverland.com

It is free for all to see!!!

At first we were not sure as to whether to take my bike along on the trips. After trying it out on our premier, we decided that it was a great tool for scouting, production, and various other tasks, plus it brings another whole aspect to the show.

We are currently working on a six part series, and have plans to move onto much larger trips and venues.
We are trying to inspire people to get out from behind their desk, and get out and see the world.
We also were watching some current reality shows and realized that there is a severe need for some good quality television. We are about having a good time, and seeing awesome places.

Also, if you like please let us know on face book. Also spread the word. This show will be supported by the number of viewers, riders, and adventures like you that we have watching the show.

We know you will like it.

Looking forward to your comments!!

In 40 years of being totally addicted to motorcycles of all kinds, I've never even heard of someone using a winch.

Im not saying a winch is a mandatory piece of equipment, however, it is extremely nice to have in a pinch. Getting a 500 lb up a super rocky section like that is a chore. I sometimes come up to stuff I feel a little uneasy about getting up. If i don't feel like smashing my bike, or hurting myself, it is a little easier to winch up it. It is only 8 pounds. Which is alot, but when you need it, it comes in pretty handy.

Why work harder than you have too.

So that's my story on winching on a bike. I don't want this to turn into a bike winching thread, there are already a couple of those on here.

Nice Video and Looking Forward to the Next

Hi Guys,

I watched the video and really enjoyed it. The writing was excellent, you explained what Overlanding is all about and didn't take yourselves too seriously. That's not an easy thing to do.

Best Wishes,

Pete

Thanks, really appreciate your support!!! Yea, there is way too much drama on TV. We are all buds, so it is nice to do this with people you can have a good time with and get along with!!

Great stuff!

I can't tell you how much I would love to ride my bike along with yall on your trips! The Moab stuff was wonderful as well.

If I am not mistaken, this was not your first video, correct? It seems like yall had knocked something up for Moab last year right?

Anyhow, color me jealous!

Thanks and please do keep posting those up for us...

Regards,

Yes, this is our first full episode. We will be trying to get a new one out about every month.

We had a little 5 minute sizzler we did in Moab. We were talking about getting it up on our site. Hopefully you will see it soon.

Wow.

I love what you guys are doing; great videography, great story telling! I can't wait to see more!!!

I would love to see some behind the scenes stuff at some point too. You guys are getting some awesome footage, I love all the shots with subtle camera motion. I'd love to see your various techniques for getting these great shots in tricky terrain.

Keep the videos coming, I hope this takes off for you guys. I will definitely help spread the word

If you guys want more motorcycles in your crew to help scout ahead and get pictures/footage PLEASE PICK ME MEMEMEME

Thanks for the compliments, I checked out your site, your photography is really great, i enjoyed looking through those pics.

We bring quite a bit of gear with. Kinda a pain because of all the space it takes up. For 6 guys for the weekend, we had the Cruiser and Tacoma completely loaded, including roof racks. We have a nice jib, and also a glide cam. But we really didn't use them too much. Clay and Scott are just really good with a camera!!!

Yep, those are Rogers cases, he really has a great product!! I have one of the bag liners, it really makes the cases more usable. I keep my clothes in the liner side, and i keep my tools and sleeping bag and pad in the other side.

Nice production value. Looks like your audio is just a little out of sync on your timeline though.
