Is there an e-mail list to alert buyers when the book is available? If so, I want to get on it!

Thanks

This thread seems to have become the book's pre-order registry.

Thanks for all the positive feedback
Were they really on Jincheng and not WR450s like the previous year (if I recall correctly)? Would be interesting if the Jing held up through the race.

I'm in for a copy when they're available also. The posts you've made here were honest, respectful of the contradictory Dakar rules and regulations, specific about the institutional fraud AND funny. Looking forward to your book.

I sincerely appreciate all of the positive feedback

I need about a week or two to work out the pricing, etc then I'll be taking pre sales for about a month. Pre sales will include a DVD with some photos and video clips. As I mentioned its not a professional movie but it compliments the book...I think. After the pre sale period is over the DVD will no longer be available.

Information about where, when and how much the book will cost is coming.....thanks for your patience. I'm writing as fast as I can. I have officially moved into my basement, shut the door and closed the blinds and won't surface until its complete I currently have 3/4 of the book written and suspect by the time I return to work on Tuesday it will be completed. The editing phase takes some time as does the layout, etc. Shipping looks like it will take place in April based on the rate we are working at.

While we're waiting here a few more pictures

Watching vechicles get stuck in the sand was one of my favorite ways to pass the time

If these are the pics that didn't make the cut, I can't wait for the book and DVD.

BY the way, have you looked at the WTF picture thread lately?
