Thanks for the kudos but I feel I need to be clear here. I am a lousy business person

There is almost zero profit from the book, due largely to myself. This is not a complaint. When the book went on sale Paypal got a hold of me and threatend to seize my accounts as I wasn't set up as a business. They began taking almost 3 bucks a book. The website I was selling the books from originally (my website) crapped out so I had to set up a new one and that company began taking a few books per book. I had the book priced based on 200 pages, once completed the book ended up being 250 pages. I had a decision to make, cut out over 20% of the content and make some money or leave it as is. I approached a few publishers but they all said they couldnt publish it with all the photos as it made it too expensive to print. I couldnt wrap my head around the book not having the photos in it as they contribute greatly to the story. My wife and I decided to heck with making money, "lets just make the best damn book we can". So this is what we did. No profit, a ton of work but something I am quite proud of and hope folks enjoy

I am trying my best to get all the books shipped in a timely manner, the packaging and shipping is very time consuming and I have been spending the bulk of my time outside of my job in lineups at the post office (oh ya they hate me now ). Hoping to have them all shipped by Monday

Going down to the Dakar was a once in a life time opportunity and was certainly one of the coolest things I have done. Zero regrets and if I was a rich man I would do it every year. But I am not rich so I will be among the F5 army next year

If I do make it to the Dakar in 2015 I will lobby RPA that they need to hire you as one of the support staff . That way this won't be just a once in a lifetime thing for you.

Interesting about paypal and good for me to know. I am in the process of looking into starting up my racing as a small business I suspect once there is more money coming in via paypal they will try to do the same to me.

say yes to an invitation to attend Sardegna Rally Race as a "journalist" at the end of June. All I need is to figure
out how to make my work commitments fit around the dates...

There, I just spilled the beans on a few possible races that Ted and I are considering for a second installment
of the TFTB series which will be 4 or 5 smaller rallies
