salsa inspired bike build

so i was looking for a small bike with certain things in mind.
1 fuel efficient
2 lightweight
3 easy to find parts
4 road and light trail use
5 my nephew should be able to use it he has nerve damage in left hand (so semi auto motor)
6 easy to find parts for
7 under 500.00

so after looking couldn't find anything i was thinking of buying a tomos streetmate and swapping the motor for a 125cc from http://www.pccmotor.com/12seauenmowr.html
but couldn't find a streetmate used in my area

thought id build somthing why not do a build thread with it

Why a motor with reverse? No need for the extra cost and weight of that feature on a light weight bike, unless you have some other disability.

Different companies make that style of motor in up to 144cc and 4 speed trans for similar prices.
You looking at making it a little dirtbike or a small street bike?
