REALY like the retro fairing. Also thinking of getting one...just because it's badass

Oh, I agree.
That's the factory fairing with a laminar shield.

That was a wasted 100 dollar bill for the shield.

So are these the same ones you have? Just without using the adjustable plate?

Well, I heard back from him.
Apparently yours were a one-off prototype that he did. The ones he sells now won't work the same.
He said I might be able to make them work, but that's a lot of money to gamble on.

Lots of members have ordered one for that cheap price. See this link

You will need mounting hardware ($7-8 at a hardware store).

Not bad. I put some foam between the gauge housing and the screen.
The sides rest on the turn signal stalks.

Did anyone file down or cut off their peg feelers? I have scraped mine a few times, wondering if that is OK or if they should be cut... or maybe they should be used as a warning that you might not have much more grip left?

I got rid of mine. I feel like the chance of them helping is outweighed by the chance of them making things worse. IMO, you shouldn't be at enough of a lean angle on the street to touch feelers to the ground (though I will admit that I have a couple of times). If you get into the situation where you're scraping feelers, you should know that you're going too fast by the lean angle, not the feelers. You really shouldn't need to feel the feelers scraping. Furthermore, if you've ever scraped your feelers, it's not a fun feeling (for me anyhow). I almost wrecked on the dragon when I scraped my feelers. I was going too fast around a turn and scraped them. I overreacted because the noise/feel was so unsettling and nearly went into the ditch. Granted, this was a mistake on my part that nearly put me in the ditch, so I can't directly blame the feelers... But I already knew I was going too fast and was leaned over too far. I didn't need the feelers to tell me that.

I just can't think of an upside to keeping them on honestly.

BTW, you don't need to file them down or cut them off. You can just unscrew them.

Ha! I might have to do that then... The dragon is one of the spots it happened. Thanks.

Sorry about that Jonathan. I looked back at emails and do see where Kevin said he didn't make any others as low as mine.
Too bad. They rock.

Wonder if he might reconsider and make some more if there was enough interest?

I'm also not sure if he's doing any new stuff right now.
Some of his stuff seams to be out of stock on his site.

These are the ones he has right now.

My webike screen came in today... I mounted it up, and all of a sudden didn't want it on my bike.

Keeping the stock flyscreen on for now...

2006 SV650S Fairing For Sale

Came upon this thread and realized some of you naked SV riders might want to add the S fairing to your bike. I took the fairing off my bike and made it into a Triumph Triple copy cat street fighter, so if anyone is interested in the fairing it is the metallic blue (I think they stole it from 1969 Camaro SS maybe Marina Blue according to GM paint code). Perfect condition make me an offer. Send me a PM for email and I'll shoot you some pics.
