Thanks BobbyLee. Is there any way I could trouble for a picture taken from the top looking down at the controls? The brake fluid reservoirs on an S and N are different, and I'm not entirely sure if the master cylinder itself is different. From looking at mine, it seems like may possibly get in the way of a handguard.

I'm at work, but will get you one from above, from the rear (riders perspective), and the side. It was a very tight fit using the nakeds stock bars and controls, and there was some careful maneuvering required to get everything together without interference or rubbing, especially the hydraulic line.

Danimal, I may be out of the rally due to a new work situation, but thank for the ride offer. Your heading down EARLY... nice

I run the same ones on my SV and I'm pretty pleased with them.

Thanks for all the different angles, I really appreciate it. I guess I'll give it a go. Nothing looks too drastically different from mine, other than the brake fluid reservoir, which shouldn't be in the way at all. I also have shorty levers, so that shouldn't be a problem. I will definitely have to get the back-and-up risers for it to clear the fairing (and it still might be close), but I've been wanting to get those anyhow.

These are the ones you have, right?

Yes, I believe they are the standard size (were bought a while ago).

Thanks a bunch. I just placed the order. I'll make sure to post pics once I get them installed.

Well, I won't be adding any more pics to this thread for a while, as I crashed on my way down to the SVRider National Rally at Deals Gap.
Very odd crash. Hit ice (on June 1st...fucking ICE!) in the middle of a long, single lane unlit tunnel. Bounced off the wall of the tunnel and went down on my right side. Luckily I was riding with a fellow SVRider member and he helped me get the bike upright.
At first I thought (hoped) that it was only a badly sprained right ankle, so I continued the ride to Robbinsville NC.
There I basically just laid around, kept it elevated and iced, but s it got worse I had to make the call, so I rode home to get it looked at.

Right after crashing, we leave the tunnel and access the damage to the bike and me,

Lets see...right front axle slider ground down. Right frame slider ground down. Turn signal gone, fairing gouged. Rear brake pedal bent up and back (not usable) both footpeg plates bent back. Front brake reservoir broken off mount.

And then here are two shots from Killboy the morning I decided to leave and ride home. Couldn't get my boot on, so you can see that I am riding with ace bandage wrap, sock and then a sandal.

Got home, went to the hospital. Two fractures and some messed up ankle bone fragments.
Had surgery last Friday and will be out 8-10 weeks. Am now a proud owner of a titanium plate and seven screws.

Will probably go nuts with riding like last year when I missed 8 weeks from a broken LEFT leg after hitting a deer. Still ended up with over 14,000 miles for the year.

Be safe out there,

Yeah...as I lay there after going down I took off my helmet and gloves (was starting to freak out a bit) and as I tried to stand up and push off the ground was amazed to see the center crown of the road covered in a layer of ice. Towards each wall there was a small ditch with a slushy mixture in it. You could feel the drastic temp drop after maybe 150 yards into the tunnel.

Another thing that sucks...I had made a wrong turn maybe 1/2 mile before the tunnel. I wanted to turn around AFTER the tunnel...drawn to it like a moth to the flame.

Oh man I really hate to hear that!

My wife crashed on May 10th. She had to get a plate and some screws in her left ankle as well.

I hope you heal fast.

Aw damn man. Sorry to hear you went down... And what odd circumstances too. Even though it sucks that you hurt your ankle and won't be riding for a couple of months, at least you're still here to type this out. Best of luck in your recovery.
