Overland Expo

While perusing this forum I stumbled across a mention of the Overland Expo. Unfortunately I have existing plans to be elsewhere during the east coast expo the first weekend in October in Ashville North Carolina. Have any of you ever been? It would be a nice 2 day ride next year and I'm wondering if it's worth going to?

I've gotten rave reviews from trustworthy sources wrt the original (Arizona) . . . . this is the first year for the east coast version, and my guess is that it takes a year or three for these things to really take off . . . . . .

I went to the one in Flagstaff. Totally worth it to me. Had a great time, see everything you could possibly never knew you needed. Tons of great classes to sign up if you want etc. Neat event.

Go and be part of helping it take off. Although I would suspect in that area it will take off pretty quick.

its worth a go if you havent been,,,, just walking around and looking/bs'ing is a good time, anything extra, like classes, lectures ect.,,,,, well lets just say you could ride a bike pretty far for the same money in gasoline.

Group of four of us from the Pgh area going down. Leaving Thursday and winding our way down through WV, VA and NC on as much twisty bitumen and gravel as we can muster. Hopefully, there will be a good party going on Saturday night and the weather holds out. Gorgeous out here these past few days. Looking forward to it.

I'm in for the "Experience" package, with 2 hour Rayhyde classes three days and a seminar every afternoon/evening. Arriving Thursday at noon, camping at Taylor Ranch and staying through Monday.

Pretty stoked to be heading out next week!
