pcx150 question -- adjusting brake levers?

hey fine folks,

the missus is finding that her small hands are uncomfortable with the default position/distance of the brake levers w/r/t the handlebars. is there an easy way to adjust the angle and bring them in closer?

I've not seen a way to adjust the lever angle, only the cable (if/when it stretches). That would be a less than ideal way to get the lever closer to the grip, though, since it would have slop.

Other than replacing or bending the lever (not sure if you could heat/bend the lever without it snapping), you could try rotating the handlebars down just a bit... might bring her hand over the grip a bit more, giving her more "reach."

I sure don't consider myself an authority on these scoots, but since it's been a day and no other answers, you got my free opinion.

Best wishes,
Captain Jim

The angle can be easily adjusted by rotating the lever assembly around the handlebars but also requires adjusting the mirrors that are attached to the same assembly. I have done this on my PCX without any issues. As for the reach, I don't see any way it could be adjusted other than bending the levers as suggested earlier.

not an easy way

at least not on your wallet... but you can get a pair of adjustable reach brake levers. I recently installed a set of NCY adjustable levers on my PCX 150 not because I needed the reach adjustability but because the left side broke (scoot fell off the side stand on a slight incline in front of my garage of all things) I fiddled around with the settings and the range is pretty good. Might be worth a look.

edit: got them from Scooter Works but available from other sites.
