Please Support the Kickstand Lodge!
Located on Hwy 28 in Stecoah, NC, The Kickstand Lodge offers tent camping, individual single bed cabins, a bunk house, and a couple of larger multi-bed cabins. Not to mention, the bath house is the "cleanest in the industry", and is even featured on urinals.net!
I visited Fred and Mo of the Kickstand Lodge late last year, and haven't been able to say enough about them ever since. I encountered an older woman, riding solo on the Cherohala Skyway who recommended the Kickstand to me. This recommendation came directly after a not-so-pleasant experience at T.W.O, so I embraced it with open arms. Great decision. Just last night, I was informed that Fred from the Kickstand passed away quietly on New Years day; a huge loss for humanity and all who knew, or even encountered him. Mo is continuing to run the Kickstand Lodge, and I wish her the best in doing so. This is why I ask that if your travel plans take you to their neighborhood, please stop in, buy a t-shirt, stay the night, or even just stop to show Mo some love. My little tribute to Fred: www.motopsychosis.blogspot.com Support The Kickstand Lodge! -dirtrat |

Fred..
Right on, BT.
If there's ever an effort together to go help with a project or whatever, please keep me in the loop! I'd do just about anything in my power to help out these folks. -l |

Damn!
Just learned from a post here that Fred of Kickstand Lodge died. Fred and Mo were two of the best people in the moto community here. Glad to hear Mo is going to try to keep the business going. I was at his birthday party in October. God speed, Fred.
