Riding is my passion

Earlier this year, we purchased my wife a 2013 Honda CRF250L. We have plans to go ride in CO & UT this year and she was wanting FI and a bit more power over her XT225. So far she's loving the bike and we spent the weekend before last up in N. GA riding around all weekend. I really see her skills coming along on the CRF and she's getting more comfortable with the extra height and weight of the CRF over the WRR.
BTW, she's 5'4" & I'm 6'4". The CRF & WRR ![]() Here she is enjoying herself! ![]() I think we are finally getting pretty close to have the CRF setup for her! Its got the low seat concepts seat and then the preload backed off on the rear shock and the forks dropped a bit. ![]() I like this pic she grabbed of me in the mirror

Hey, that really is a pink KLR! Too much! It looks better than the usual faded red.

Wow, if she's riding a KLR now, the CRF is going to seem like a toy to her! Big props to her riding a KLR at 5'5". Even I think the KLR is a heavy pig when loaded down with all that camping gear.
I gotta say though, I am loving the this new breed of FI 250's. They actually do fairly well on the road and are dream off road. They both would make good adventure bikes too. I have a DR650 that's okay and fun around town, but I much prefer jumping on the WRR. With the 4.7gal tank, I'm very happy. The 2 gal tanks that come stock on these 250's are a joke. BTW, I see you guys have an SV and a Monster. Who's riding the monster? My wife loves her Duc 696. I had to pick up the FZ1 so I had something to keep up with her when she was on the Monster and I'm enjoying having a liter bike again. LOL

![]() Her bike is purple in the picture. We bought it that way. The plastic tank inflated and we got a new one under warranty, so the we painted the bike black to match the new tank.

Della's first long distance solo ride. She got her license in March, was able to practice about 500 miles solo before doing our western trip - 5,000 miles in 13 days during mid July 2012 from TN out to Glacier NP and back to TN with lots of great roads thrown in the mix.
This pic was taken right after she dumped it on Cut Across Road in northwestern Nebraska. That's her climbing the hill in the distance. This road was 7 miles of hell made of some gravel base on the high places and pure sugar sand in the bottoms - notice how far the Tenere tracked here 100+ feet past where she lost it in the dip. It was 104 degrees out there that day. Boy, was I glad that the 2 way bike-to-bike was not working at that time! Traveling just south of the Tetons |
