My understanding is that JB is retiring after this season.

That would have been THE SHOT from the moto2 race, I've been waiting for it to surface online.

Can't believe he wouldn't prefer to just stay where he is. It might be 'Factory' but it sure looks like a move further down the grid!

I reckon he'll be hoping for better than that and will want Spies' seat.

He's not first in line for that seat.

They all wait on JLo and VR to decide, then the rest will fall into place. But yes there is only one open seat at Tech3 and neither of those boys have a contract. Who knows where Ben will wind up next year, also they're is the one not many speak of, Alvaro is showing good promise and is no slouch, nor is Stephan.. Oh the silly season shuffle is looking interesting..

So I can't ride dirt yet so racing is off (shoulder surgery taking forever to heal) and I am a big MotoGp fan and off for the summer. I got a crazy idea to fly to Europe and hit Assen, Sachsenring, and Mugello. Going with my room mate and though I can ride street thinking of doing a combo of public transportation, and car rental. Carrying camping gear, and two up on a bike seems like a logistic nightmare. So rentals are probably out.
I will probably ask in the regional forum, but anyone have any insight into transportation, logistics, etc about any or all of these races?

You might look into renting scooters at each location.

I was lucky to have a bike hook up the two times I went over. It made the experience that much better. I am not into camping and we stayed in all sorts of neat accommodations from off the charts nice to very frugal. Do searches for hostels and pensions.

I know, around Mugello in particular, you should be able to find scooters to rent. Mugello is in one of the greatest regions to visit in the world.

This is still something we are discussing nothing solid yet. Luckily I used to work for an airline and still have great deals, so i can wait to the very last minute to go or no go.
Great idea on the scooters. We both have licenses and I can ride with my backpack. We plan on camping at the tracks were we can. And other accommodations between the events. Her sister went to school in Florence so around Mugello is easy.
