Its a great read and really shows what the man was like as an individual.
He did an awful lot of charity work, driving trucks into Eastern Europe carrying medical supplies and aid, all of it virtually unknown as he wasn't a big self-publicist.
Will look for it. I have seen the BBC special about his life. Incredible.
Cheers!
Or slaintè I guess

Wouldn't it be great if Ducati's new engine put Rossi/Hayden back in front?
It's difficult to be optimistic at this point, but a competative Ducati team would do wonders for MotoGP.
It would solve the puzzle of where does Rossi go and who replaces Rossi next year?

Crutchlow is making this season quite interesting. I would love to see him take it to Stoner a time or two.

It would be good in all the ways you mention. I'm holding out hope if only because a narrow V engine is the only thing they haven't thrown at the wall yet. If Krop and others were correct over a year ago, it's the missing piece to the puzzle. I guess we'll all find out by Laguna. But I wish Ducati had it ready by Mugello.

Guareschi says that it ain't a narrow(er) angle V...

Rumours says that the engine will be less "bulky" since it is not necessary anymore for it to be a stressed part as it was the old one (which is still the base for the unit used at the moment). Also there is a possibility that the fuel tank will be repositioned. We'll see...

Well crap. It looks like everyone better prepare for continued suckage. Although Hayden thinks they've found a way to make the tires last longer. Nicky is an eternal optimist, so I always expect him to be upbeat. With 3 races in 3 weeks, we'll know the truth soon enough.

Silly season just got way more speculative, this year may be the last season to see Rossi on the Turnip Truck

Interesting stuff. Sure hope it all works out for Nick. Personally, I don't care who rides it or what they do it, Ducati, IMO, is not going to have a competitive GP bike. Again, IMO, they keep trying to improve on previous mistakes. I think a ground up redo ( starting over from scratch)is what is needed, and not sure if that is ever going to happen.

Is Ducati looking for a "John Hopkins" who will put his health on the line in order to ride the factory bike??
They know Nicky and Vale won't ride it harder than they feel comfortable with. Something to think about...

Ducati "Waiting on Audi..." what BS.......sounds like Crutchlow is about to put an early end to his career....although Nicky is talking like Ducati may turn it around by next year when he says it is "gutting" to think that someone else may come in and reap the results of all of his hard work ....
