Season starts this week. So, what's the deal w/ spoilers in this thread?

IMHO, if you don't want a spoiler, don't read the interwebz!

That being said:

* Is it OK to talk openly about free practice?
* Is it OK to talk openly about qualifying?
* Is it OK to talk openly about race incidents (not including podium)?
* Is it OK to talk openly about who won the podium?

If the answer is "No" to any of the above, how long after the race is it OK to start talking again?

With all due respect to the people that contribute to the thread and to the simple readers...fuck this spoilers shit! The world does not have to come to a standstill for 3-4 days just because someone hasn't seen a race.

I will be talking about everything related to motogp in this thread. Spoilers or not.

My own personal opinion is that I don't care, but there are plenty of people who get their Huggies in a wad about it. Generally, there will be a race-specific thread with a spoiler alert attached. Practice and qualifying are non spoilerific but you'll probably get more discussion int the RS thread. My own thought is that keep the spoiler comments out this thread until the race has appeared for the first time on US TV. If you are recording the entire MotoGP season to savor during the winter months and don't want to be surprised, well good luck, it isn't our responsibility to protect you from yourself.

I subscribe to John McGuinness' facebook newsfeed. It was actually his message I read first about SuperSic last year. I had a choice at that moment (I hadn't yet seen the race) whether to STOP reading, or continue on.

I've unsubscribed from various news feeds to avoid reading things I don't want to see in advance. It certainly seems like the onus is on the reader -- not the writer -- to avoid spoilers.

The Spanish rider Dani Pedrosa admitted to committing "a mistake" and apologized publicly after being involved in a plot supposedly investigated by the purchase of tests yacht captain and why this Saturday were 21 people arrested by the Guardia Civil.

In a statement sent to Europa Press by Dani Pedrosa's lawyer, David Gil Fernandez's office and g'' Administrative and Accounting, Dani Pedrosa admitted that: "following bad advice I made a mistake."

"Mistakes can be ignored or learn from them, and I've learned from it. I publicly apologize to my fans and all those who trust me," said Honda's triple world champion.

Pedrosa said he wants to forget this incident as soon as possible and face the World Cup in MotoGP, which starts this coming weekend at the Losail circuit Catar where he tries to forget the injuries and improve the fourth of last year.

"Now I look forward. I'ma motorcycle rider, this weekend starts the World Tasting, and I want to focus solely and exclusively in Sunday's race. From this error I have taken a lesson and wish to leave behind right now this issue and focus on a season that I face with a high motivation and enthusiasm, "he said.

Dani Pedrosa was one of 21 arrested on Saturday by the Guardia Civil in the plot investigated for allegedly buying yachtsman tests, as confirmed to Europa Press sources familiar with the action carried out by the Guardia Civil.

Pedrosa, who is one of the 10 people who were allegedly arrested him Saturday after being caught doing the test with a "earpiece", was released at the expense of the outcome of the judicial investigation should determine if their performance is derived or not possible imputation of Spanish rider in the case, the sources said.

I would think he would want a competent captain to drive his Yacht in the harbors anyway since he's got a spare buck or two versus the damage he could cause. Oh well shit happens and he made a mistake.. Ride on.....
