count me out, I haven't sent $$$ yet anyway, I had a bad feeling about my job and I was right layed (laid?) off after 12 years boss using the place as his piggie bank and about sucked it dry. SOOOO as much as I NEED to ride this it won't happen this year

Congrats. I may be riding in the Hardwood Enduro on 5/20, so I'll probably be bugging out on Saturday. Didn't realize the date conflict till this week.

I'm going to jump in here and get my feet wet in more ways than one.
I'm getting back into dirt riding after close to a 30 yr hiatus and just picked up an old XR650. I think I have the bike about ready to go, but my riding probably needs a little more "fine tuning". This SLAP thing looks like a lot of fun and a good way to get back in the saddle. I think I'll be good with the Geritol rides, but here's my dilemma:
My wife has decided that she would like to ride with me (she goes everywhere on the back of my Wing), but she wants to try a 4-wheeler.
So, 1. Is this a guys only thing? 2. Would a rookie on a 4-wheeler be conceivable on even the easy routes? 3. And most importantly; is a fifth of W.L. Weller enough?

Count me in for camping offsite. Glad to see you are going to make it CJ. Only my second SLAP. Still kind of like a Virgin SLAPPER.

There are miles and miles to dirt road ride around the event. I haven't known of any problems with riding ATV's I see it all the time in the area. There is even a 45 mile mostly dirt road route to OARK Cafe from the lodge. Last year I led a group of Bikes with my ATV. Come on and have a good time. I will not be leading a ride this year but someone should be able to hook you up with a route,

Not a guy thing only, Just remember it is mostly guys. My wife has been along with others. She wanted to go this year but can't make it.

As for the Fifth well thats debatable

I'd be careful posting that kinda stuff. "Still kind of like a Virgin SLAPPER." There are Okies coming you know! Afterwards you may just be a "slapper".

OK Sounds good. Now I gotta make sure I can get out of the leg irons at work for a couple of days and I'm in.
