Please excuse my ignorance but I just heard of the SLAP and am very interested since me and a buddy rode our KLRs to Ark in May from Texas and loved it. is there any type of agenda, events schedule or organized rides, (paved, non-paved?) anything like that? just trying to get a feel for what type of enviroment it is. Sounds like everyone really enjoys it and me an a few buddies may plan on going but I'm trying to tell them about it to convince them. any help would be appreciated.

SLAP for me was very laid back. I showed up a day early and did my own solo riding. Then fell into a group of guys that let me follow them through Arkansas for the next two days. There was some grub if you wanted it, some soda pop if you desired and some of the other guys camping offered food as well. I tented camped through two nights of rain, slept like a baby. Tent sites are well kept and raised. My only complaint was that it didn't last long enough.

There is a GPS track thread so you can load up the tracks or just join up with a group of riders. Our group had some fast guys and some slower guys and we all did just fine together.

I had a blast and hope to again this year

Rusty

SLAP is a laid back affair. As it gets closer some of the locals will step up and lead rides to our favorite locations. There are and will be many ride opportunities so come on and join us.

No need to mail ride by the shop. Your bike will barely be warmed up by the time you get there, if you live in Wesley.
Here are directions. http://www.qualitycycleparts.com/aboutus.asp I also have a Mossy Creek Cycle signs up once you turn on 295.

Give me a call to make sure I am there.

See you at SLAP.

I'm going to try again this year. Last year I skipped out after registering. Is there a no rain guarantee?
So, me and the DRZ are going to ride down from KC. I'll be camping.
Rusty, are you riding the WRR down, or do you know yet. I'll be back roading down.

Ryan

We can't guarantee it's going to rain, however, we can turn a hose on you if that will make you feel more comfortable.
