There isn't much close to White Rock. Best to get a bunk in the Lodge while there are some available. Just post up if you want one and Travis will get you set up for it.

Schedule

With my work schedule, there is know way of knowing if we can make it or not. (railroad). So I can't really commit until the last week or so before the SLAP. I thought, well we could ride up and stay the night somewhere, work permitting. (we live in LA, lower arkansas).

White Rock also has a nice campground, you might want to trail up and bring a tent.

I am working on a list of motels and other lodging accomodations that are available. I will get Mossycreek to edit this info into the original post soon so check back for that update...keep in mind that these accomodations are in the area , but not real close (10-20+ miles from the event).

Thanks Doc

When you live out in the sticks like we do one doesn't mind driving 20 miles for anything. I'll be looking for that motel list. Thanks

This sounds like a fun rally. Going to plan on attending. I'd like to reserve a bunk. Is there anyone I should notify specifically?

I may have to come back down for this again this year. This event needs more beer though.

Well we haven't even gotten to that part of the thread yet, or is it time?

Cabins

For those of you that are renting the cabins you need to make sure you send your deposit money in so you do not lose it.

I live 2 hrs from there, know some of the area. I have some surgeries pending, but if this falls in between, I'll be there, and can show people around if needed. Better yet, I'll try to bring a couple of guys who can get me un-lost with GPS. It's less fun with GPS, but a whole lot more efficient. I'll be riding a WR yamaha and mostly ride singletrack and ATV trails, some dirt roads. If anyone wants to go with, come on.

I stay up late, drink alot, smoke a little, and ain't gettin up at daylight. Maybe hit the trails by 9-10, but ride hard til dark and beyond sometimes. Virgins need not apply. If you are a wore out old road whore, we'll get along. In other words, ya might want to have a little off road experience. I ain't fast, but I am reallllllll stupid. No whiners either. If you break something, bike or you, no matter,we'll fix it. If it's a bone, I carry duct tape and know how to make splints from sticks, bent handlebars, and other peoples unused bones. Skeletons make great splint tools. Just match up the bone with the busted one on the live dude.Sometimes you have to scrape off some old dead flesh, either from the live guy or the skeleton, but I carry a sharp knife. Really sucks when you have to scrape off the dead flesh from yourself and splint your own broken parts. But its worh it for a good ride.

Singletrack or die!

And I have advice for those who ride with DRZ Charlie, whoever he is: If he's riding lead, wear goggles and don't ride with your mouth open.. I think he sometimes spits when he leads.
