I've been watching this thread for a while, now. Looks like Mr. Fisherman was on the original list of five to receive the first batch, but I haven't heard from him about it yet. This looks like the shit for that Colorado trip, eh? Anybody figured out how to make this work on my 990 yet, so I don't have to do the research ?? ![]() .

![]() Damn you,...... my "list" just keeps getting bigger and bigger. You're VERY near the top NOW, Mr. Bracket. But, the Rekluse is still beating you out, for now, anyway ![]() So do I just replace my Axle Nut with one you can provide? And I'm good to go?

For the KTM and Husaberg Bikes:
You Replace your stock rear axle nut (shown at left) with one I provide (shown at right). ![]() The 640cc and smaller bikes use a 20mm Nut, the 690cc and larger use a larger Nut. I have both. The axle length varies with some models so the hitch width is bike dependent. For the DR650 and DRZ400 bikes, some years came with a Castle Nut and Cotter Pin. ![]() If your bike has this castle nut setup, I have the Fuji style nut you can replace it with. ![]() Here is the mounting method for 1987-2007 KLR's Start with this: ![]() Remove this: ![]() Now looks like this: ![]() Trade old for new: ![]() Install New: Mirror image on other side, two brackets total. ![]() Leave this on at all times if you like, should stay out of the way: ![]() Now you can pull a Moto-Mule Trailer: ![]() Closeup: Instead of using one long "bolt", the moto-mule trailer is held on with two short bolts, one on each side on the KLR.

Rode around 100 miles with the Moto Mule today and i'm very impressed. Everything from 75mph interstate riding to single track to mud puddles deep enough to totally drown it - I never knew it was back there. Only time I notice it was when I had to turn around on a trail today that was pretty narrow. Took me a few seconds longer than it would have normally.
Pics...lots of em'! Christening...after a muddy downhill slide and muddy hill climb... ![]() After the drowning... ![]() ![]() Did bash my license plate. I crossed a pretty steep ditch and it must've been then. I plan to move it up further out of the way soon... ![]() After a clean up... ![]() Who has the REAL trailer around here? ![]() ![]()

How water tight are those action packers?Did it get wet inside?I pack everything in dry bags, even if it's going into a trailer, but that won't stop standing water in the box from getting in the bags.

Evan,
Love the pictures! Glad to see you are using the trailer ![]() I don't see the clips in the handles of the ActionPacker. Did the lid fly off on you at all today? Some of them snap together tighter than others. I do recommend something in the handles to keep them from comming open. Oh, wait, after looking again, I can see you do have at least one of the clips on there. My bad.... Looks great!

I got an Action Packer tonight (my other local Lowes had them). Got it mounted up. Tomorrow I'll get it mounted to the KLR and go for a ride.

After pressure washing there was about a tablespoon of water inside. I was imagining some of that spray in rubber could be used on the inside of the lid to make s seal... Quote:
Was thinking some sort of carabiner (spelling?) might do the trick. Obviously a luggage lock would work (what it's designed for) but don't want to bother with keys. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
