I think your still eligible to be staked down to an ant hill for riding on a BIA road!

The lady said something about a $150 ticket. She asked if I came from one way and I told her I came from another. I just acted as dumb as I really was and she said I could go. She said to tell my friends not to go there... So, don't go there.

I guess I forgot to tell someone else about this and he did get a ticket.

I know I'm not the only one on this thread that has been on some of these roads.

After I remembered that I posted a photo from somewhere I wasn't supposed to be, I gave a lot of clues. I bet you can get it pretty easily if you use the interweb.

I'm going with Mt. Adams Highway,
that's what it's called right before you hit BIA land.

Well, that's where I got my $125 ticket for being as dumb as Steve, anyway.
I got to see Signal Peak, it was quite an excellent view.
On the North end is White Swan.

Or is it BIA-108? Hard to "not know" where that one goes!

Well, we know it's on the Yakima tribes land so do you want us to just write down every road number until we get it? Any other outlaws out there that know this road? I wonder if we have any ADV members out there carrying a card that can ride this one legally?

From what I understand, BIA dirt / gravel roads in many reservations are legal to ride on, but I have learned that the Yakima is not, thus it is the Yakima reservation. I guess this is common knowledge. I mentioned earlier that I am heading south. To the right appears to be up hill (to the west) and the road washed out pretty significantly, so there is probably some elevation above this that allows a pretty good water flow to wash the road out. The road has two names, so that rules out quite a few roads. There is a tracing of the road I am on displayed on the GPS that looks pretty squiggly heading south. The GPS says "Dist to Dest" 2.15, but the whole highlighted route to the south is highlighted so that squiggle must be zoomed in pretty close. The terrain is pretty heavily forested, so it can't be too far east considering the terrain on the Yakima reserveration. If there was a decent sized river that ran north / south, it would probably be on the higher elevation side of this considering the size of the creek.

So, with those clues that seem evident, and a bit of time with Google maps in map view, satellite view, and terrain view, it narrows down pretty quick.

Of course, all this seems obvious to me since I already know the answer.

Moving this along... Here is another clue. Anyone want to take a stab at what road the previously listed photo was taken on?

I'm gonna go out a limb here and take a wild-assed guess.

BIA Rd 271 aka Mt. Adams Lake Road.

Is that the Crawford Creek crossing?

Everyone knows what mountain this is. And there's hundreds of viewpoints where you can take a picture of it. But where was I when I took this one? I'm looking not just for the name of the road, but where on that road?

I'm assuming that the reason my pic is not getting action is because everybody is out riding in this gorgeous weather. Me, I'm banging away on the aspirin bottle, trying to wait out the fever that comes with this flu, now on Day 4. No rush, here, right? So I'll wait until Sunday night before posting some hints.

...
If only.

I've been working in the yard.

You feel sorry for me, right?

No?

Oh, and about your pic, I don't have a clue.
