My Wag!

The tub doesn't look quite right but it's been a while... Elkhorn Hotspring East of Stanley barely off ID 75

The tub gets washed out every couple years in high water, I think this one was installed last year. I have never heard it called Elkhorn, everyone I know calls it The Boat Box, there is a map that calls it Bev's Bathtub, named for a friend of mine that lives nearby who doesn't get too many baths.
You're up!

I had heard there was a different name for that particular hot springs but I thought it was Soap box so I went with the familiar. I researched it after you gave the second name http://www.trails.com/tcatalog_trail...lid=HGW056-105, guess we both learned something new today. We have never soaked there, but have found less popular hot springs in the area while we were in the area riding our off road as well as dual sport bikes.

Looks like it is just downstream from the confluence of two rivers.

If that's the right location, I'd like to know if you made a loop of that ride or did you have to do a out and back? Howard Creek / Brown Rd.?

Rondowa is correct. (I am going to answer for Liv2rydktms to save time)

Rondowa, so named because it stands at the junction of Grande Ronde and Wallowa rivers.

When we rode in there, we started near the town of Wallowa and rode in and back out the same way. Some of the roads we had planned to ride were blocked and took some rerouting to find an open route in. Had planned to ride out a different way towards the Maxville/Promise road, but that road was closed, so ended up getting out the way we rode in.

Craig, you're up

So, we are on a river kick. Okay, chew on this one. Looking for the name of the spot and the river!

Really, no one, Crashclay and I thought this might be truly sadistic but it is kind of funny! I'm starting to believe that no one rides this road.

Is this the box on the first 30 mph corner heading out of Lower Stanley towards Sunbeam? Soaked there a few times....but the tub was a classic wood stave.
