Hammer with the Orange jersey and the helmet with red on it, his back is to us.

I miss him, I only got to ride with him a couple different times, both times Roy put the rides together.

Hammer-Gone but not forgotten.

Happy Holidays All, Headed out soon for Pendleton to spend the day with family.

FFS give it up so the thread can move on, as peterman said, it's pics of places we wanna go.... the reason I subscribed to this thread. now we've got what, three pages of guesses on a pic, so it's evident you've stumped us all. Technically, since nobody's guessed it, we could do this for another few pages.
Give it up, I say, and post another pic that maybe we can guess before 2014.

Oh, and Merry Christmas!! to all.

Merry Merry and Happy Happy to all.

Just waitin' to go to Christmas dinner. Cold and clear outside. Time to start the bike and check batteries.

Tom and Sue were there as well as Steep and Rocky, and Luke showed up.

Remember me chasing this critter? Who's bike is this?

Another guess...Elkhorn Mountain and Larch Prison

Well, sure looks like I worded that hint wrong
Just trying to give another hint without giving the whole thing up.
Earlier, I was asked to keep giving guesses and not move on to something else when I offered.
Cant please everyone I guess.......

Correct!

The shot is from summit prairie on Larch Mt just a few miles north of the Jones Creek OHV area and just a a stones throw from the radio towers on the summit of the Mt.
If you head north from the C loop there is a huge amount of rebel single track and 4x4 roads that go on for miles.

I love this thread, but to be honest, the nit picky level of "read my brain" that some posters insist on is "HEAD EXPLODY" kinda stuff!

[COLOR=DarkOrange]Rant over... Scrooge Out!
I would usually agree here but actually not being picky at all.
Just trying to give another hint without giving it up.
The Larch correctional center and Larch Mt radio towers are WAY different.
And looking for a prominant feature like Larch Mt instead of a whole forest area like the Yacolt Burn dosent seem like asking to much

liv2rydktms, your up

There is an old mine road that heads up above that building that goes to the foundation of the "Mansion". Somewhere I have pictures of it. Unbelievable amount of concrete, hand mixed way up on top of the mountain. It had two fire places one of which was double sided. I am at work so the masses will have to wait til I get home for a new picture. Use this time as an intermission. Hit up the snack bar or maybe even go outside, It's neat out there.

Certainly nothing worth seeing from the seat of a motorcycle

I have an old photo taken from almost exactly the same spot from 2002. Too bad it's not digital. Maybe I'll try to scan it in. The trail got pretty knarly from here on as I recall. I love riding in GPNF!!
